Discuss what ideas there are in the two texts (The Matrix and Oedipus the King) about the concepts of ignorance, bliss/happiness, and knowledge. Discuss both common elements you see and differences.

Similarities
- They both deal with wanting to know thier future or at least to get a heads up in what's coming up that they should look out for.
- In the Matrix Neo is known as the one, the messiah, the one to guide the people of Zion to victory. During this time he didn't understand or know if he should believe in the prophecy that was told of him but later on in the film he believed as everyone else did as well. Similar to Neo, Oedipus the King went to the oracle and was told he would kill his father and marry his mother. he refused to believe in the oracle while later in the play he found out that what he was told was true and cut his eyes out in the result.
- Both Neo and Oedipus went to the oracle lookin for answers unsure of who they are as a person.
